HOW TO BEAT CELLULITE WITH VELASHAPE II

Cellulite is notoriously difficult to treat and affects everyone, no matter their size and no matter how much they exercise or how well they eat.

Many questions surround the VelaShape II and all the answers have been gathered in this article. First things first: How does the VelaShape II work?
You need to know that the concept behind VelaShape II is not one that sucks the fat out of your body. This is what invasive Liposuction does. Instead, the power of VelaShape II comes from its multidimensional system: a clever combination of gentle light and radio frequency energies together with mechanical rollers as well as vacuum suction. Together, they manipulate the superficial fat tissue layer that causes cellulite.
Concretely, VelaShape II is able to increase the metabolism of that fatty layer thanks to the infrared heat and the radio frequency which in turn, considerably shrinks the size of fat cells.
But it does not stop there: the mechanical rollers combined with the vacuum suction, work on the blood vessels to increase blood flow in the treated area while massaging the skin to achieve a smoother, less dimpled surface appearance.

Are you a good candidate for VelaShape II™?
The majority of the population is suitable for receiving the VelaShape ll treatment but it is still wise to consult with your physician prior to receiving treatments.
Patients who have realistic expectations of what the procedure can achieve and who want an improvement of the appearance of cellulite in the thighs, hips, buttocks, and abdomen are usually good candidates. If what you are looking for is contouring and sculpting of unwanted bulges and disproportionate fatty areas, the VelaShape II treatment will most definitely give you the results you desire.
Of course, we always warn our patients that VelaShape II is not a weight loss solution. Your cellulite will be reduced and you may even lose a couple of centimetres but you should still lead a healthy lifestyle or the results achieved will disappear.
What areas of the body can VelaShape II treat?
With VelaShape ll, we can improve the appearance of cellulite on body areas such as the thighs & buttocks.
Two applicators can be used: the VSmooth and the VContour which are designed for large & small body areas.
What results can one expect from VelaShape II treatment?
After their VelaShape II treatment at Medi-Sculpt, our patients always notice gradual improvement of cellulite in treated areas. Their skin is smoother and feels tighter and firmer. After a few sessions, our patients also notice more defined contours on areas such as saddlebags and love handles as well as a reduction in circumference which is measurable. As you can imagine, the measurements greatly vary from one patient to another as it depends on the severity of the fat deposits, the elasticity of the skin and each patient’s lifestyle.
Nonetheless, patients report an average reduction of 2 cm post treatment while in clinical trials, the average range of circumferential reduction was 1-3 cm.
How often should you come back to Medi-Sculpt for repeat sessions?
The initial treatment comprises of 4-6 sessions and the treatments are performed once a week. Some of our patients have noticed improvements after the second session while others may need the full 4-6 sessions. Each treatment session lasts 30-60 minutes long, but of course, the time varies depending on a patient’s size and how many areas he/she wants to improve.
Maintenance treatments are key to keep up the results achieved and are typically done once a month after the initial series.
Is VelaShape II painful?
Not at all! Most patients find VelaShape treatments comfortable – like a warm deep tissue massage. Some patients even fall asleep from the relaxation that comes from the treatment! VelaShape II is designed to accommodate your sensitivity and comfort level.
What happens after each VelaShape II treatment?
After the treatment, the treated area(s) may be slightly red in appearance and feel warm from the heat. Some of our patients also experience some bruising but rest assured, these symptoms are normal and only last for a few hours. The good news is that patients also mention that the treated area(s) do already feel tighter post treatment! And most importantly, you will be able to resume normal activities immediately!
