IMCAS Paris 2014 Feedback
IMCAS Paris offers doctors, surgeons and dermatologists within the field of aesthetic medicine an opportunity to teach, learn and exchange ideas.
IMCAS offers numerous similar workshops throughout the world, with Paris hosting the marquee event. This year the IMCAS Paris Congress was held from the 30th January to 2nd February. The focus is always on improving anti-ageing techniques, learning new techniques and products and also how to enhance patient experience.
From IMCAS 2014
It is clear by the number of attendees that the global community of Aesthetic doctors is expanding. So the number of treatment options available to the doctor. This is great news for the patient. Today there is choice. Multiple products offer advancements in technology and from a patient point of view visiting a doctor who has attended one of these congresses means increased peace of mind as to product knowledge, technique and of course safety. All of which are focus topics.
This years Congress highlighted a number of interesting advancements that will interest the patient, and in my opinion they are:
- Rejuvenation techniques for the:
- Forehead
- Temple
- Midface and cheeks
- New trends in scars and scar treatment
- A focus on minimising Dermal Filler complications
- A massive drive to offer better patient engagement via social media channels
South Africans at IMCAS Paris 2014
A number of South African doctors attended IMCAS Paris 2014 and their attendance certificates will be proudly displayed within their practices.
These are superb patient references for techniques and safety. The list of presenters however numbered only two. It is a privilege and an honour to be invited to present at a congress of this magnitude.
