How is non-surgical face volumization performed?

A Non Surgical Face Volumization involves the use of advanced dermal fillers, usually in combination with Botulinum Toxin. The new group of advanced dermal fillers used includes Restylane® and Radiesse®. In addition Botulinum Toxin is used to relax and diminish wrinkles. Botulinum Toxin is used in conjunction with dermal fillers to provide added lift and to help the endurance of the dermal fillers.

How long will the treatment take?

The entire treatment takes between 30-40 minutes. A local anesthetic is required for the fillers but you can return to your normal activities immediately afterwards.

When will I see results?

Results are visible immediately after the injections with dermal fillers. The effects of Botulinum Toxin will take up to 10 days to appear after which you will see a marked improvement in wrinkles.

How long will the effect last?

The effects of dermal fillers can last between 9 to 12 months. After 12 months the fillers will gradually revert to their pre-treatment appearance (it varies from person to person). The effects of Botulinum Toxin can last up to four months. The effects also vary from person to person. After subsequent Botulinum Toxin treatments, results can last even longer.

• Open up eyes and lift eyelids
• Lift and diminish jowls
  Restore the natural shape of flattened cheeks or temple areas

Are there any side effects?

Botulinum Toxin and dermal fillers have an established safety profile. Side effects are usually visible within the first few hours after treatment and may include bruising, redness and swelling. These effects are usually mild and disappear shortly after treatment.

How much does it cost?

Cost may vary depending on the quantity of the fillers and Botulinum Toxin used. It ranges from R13 000 to R16 000.
