What is cellulite?
Cellulite occurs due to the increase of fat cells that push up against the skin and the long, sturdy connective cords that push down. The fibrous bands that attach the skin to the underlying muscle tighten abnormally, and the layer of fat beneath the skin’s surface rises. Cellulite results in lumpy, dimpled regions of flesh in specific areas of the body, more commonly in the hips, thighs, abdomen and buttocks.
Although a good diet and exercise can help reduce the formation of cellulite, there are currently no clinically proven treatments that can completely remove it. This has led to an influx of so called ‘miracle treatments’ such as anti-cellulite creams and gels.
Some alternative therapies, such as massages, herbal remedies and body wrapping and clinical surgical methods, such as liposuction, claim to reduce cellulite. However, none of these treatments can completely remove cellulite.

How does Sculptra work?
Sculptra promotes the growth of new collagen in the injected site, unlike other hyaluronic-based dermal fillers. The effects of Sculptra for cellulite reduction treatment will not be visible instantly but may take a few months to establish with desired effects lasting up to 24 months.
Sculptra is injected into the cellulite dimples, which causes the skin to look smoother and fuller. While Sculptra treatments cannot make the cellulite permanently disappear, they can significantly lessen its appearance with a result that lasts far longer than the facial treatment.
How many vials will you need?
Plan for +- 4 vials per session (20mls per vial) for improvement of texture and cellulite.
