PDO THREAD LIFT AND STEM CELLS

PDO THREAD LIFT AND STEM CELLS

It is no news that often in the world of aesthetic treatments, combining different procedures or different substances can increase the benefits and give patients optimum results.

I recently posted an article on the PDO thread lift, a revolutionary non-surgical lift that tightens and sculpts the entire face thanks to the implant of absorbable threads underneath the skin. If you missed that article, you can read it here.

Today, I want to talk about taking the thread lift procedure to new heights and gaining even more from it by combining it with stem cell therapy. If it does sound a little bit like science-fiction at this point, rest assured, the procedure is actually very simple and straightforward.

But first, it is necessary to explain what PRP(Platelet-rich plasma) is. Simply put, it is a procedure by which your own platelets and plasma are taken from a small sample of your blood in order to stimulate collagen and improve the skin’s texture and elasticity. The platelet-rich plasma obtained from this process is then reintroduced back underneath your skin via a series of tiny injections to achieve superb skin rejuvenation results. This means your own blood only is being used to improve the quality of your skin.

If we do decide to combine the PDO thread lift with the PRP, you could undergo the PRP two weeks prior to the threads or at the same time of the thread treatment. This, of course, is something you and I can discuss during your consultation. During the combination procedure, I inject the stem cells (or PRP) along with the absorbable threads,in order to maximize activation of cell culture within the body that in turn, increases the skin rejuvenation results.

Another possibility is the combination of PDO threads with ADSC (adipocyte derived stem cells)by  extracting adipocyte stem cells, this time from fat –and not blood- from your body and injecting them into the damaged skin part or areas that lack elasticity, the cells enable a regeneration and a stimulation of new cells and tissue.

Do you have questions or comments? Please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

If you are considering the PDO thread lift or one of the combination versions, call my practice on 0861 003 007 to schedule an appointment and together we will discuss what option is most adapted to your needs and desires.
