WHAT IS THE 3D VECTOR LIFT?

The signs of the ageing face arise from the interaction of anatomical and physiological changes that develop over time. Absolute skin laxity, underlying volume loss, and the force of gravity over the passing years result in the softening and sagging of facial structures. 3D vectoring is a set of techniques that strategize the placement of filler to create positive vectors to lift and sculpt the face.

HOW IS THE 3D VECTOR LIFT PERFORMED?

Traditional surgical techniques lift the face by pulling the skin upwards and outwards and often do not address the loss of volume that comes with aging. With 3D Vectoring the skin is lifted by strategic placement of volume using SUB-Q – a dermal filler that is part of the family of the gold standard Restylane dermal fillers. Sub- Q has high viscosity and elasticity and this enables it to predictably hold the tissue in a lifted position. In addition, the stabilized, highly cross- linked Hyaluronic Acid maintains the lift and gives long lasting results.

As part of safely administering fillers we do not use traditional needles in this treatment. The latest device to administer fillers is with the micro- cannula which decreases trauma to the tissues making the treatment safer with significantly less bruising than regular dermal filler injection techniques. It is almost pain free!

HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT TAKE?

The entire treatment can take between 30-40 minutes. A local anaesthetic is required for the Sub Q fillers but you can return to normal activities immediately afterwards.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

HOW LONG WILL THE EFFECT LAST?

Results can last for between 18 to 24 months with the Sub Q fillers after which time it will gradually revert to their pre-treatment appearance (this varies from person to person).

WHAT CAN THE 3D VECTOR LIFT TREAT?

This is the most effective non- surgical treatment for jowls which can easily be lifted and diminished; natural shape can be restored to flattened cheeks or temple areas; corners of the mouth can be lifted; as well as several other facial feature benefits.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

The Sub- Q fillers have an established safety profile. Side effects are usually visible within the first few hours after treatment and may include bruising, redness and swelling. These effects are usually mild and transient.

WHAT IS THE COST?

Since volume is being used to create a positive vector to lift sagging skin, it is imperative that appropriate volumes be used. As standard protocol two vials of Restylane  Sub- Q are used at a cost of R16000.
